University of North Carolina Lacrosse

North Carolina recently fired its Mens Lacrosse coach John Haus. The reason UNC athletic director Dick Baddour said "obviously, we're not at the level we would like to be" . If this AD had any balls at all he would go hire the old Duke Coach (who got fired by Duke for no apparent reason whatsoever) Mike Pressler. I mean for one Duke did the wrong thing by firing this guy before any real evidence even came out about the players being accused of rape. They didnt even wait for DNA evidence. Im sure everyone knows the story by now and its not even worth discussing further.

I just think it would be great if UNC said you know what, the guy didnt deserved to be fired, he did a hell of a job at Bryant College (Bryant made the Division II final four and is moving to Division I lacrosse next year) and Duke is our in state rival. Lets go hire the guy that Duke made look like a clown. Am I Wrong???

I Guarantee That Carlos Beltran

-- saying that the New York Mets are the team to beat in the NL Eastat the start of the season is beginning to look like an absolute joke. I mean my favorite part of his guarantee is that no one has asked him about it since. How come we haven't heard from you Carlos? No hablo Ingles? I am from the New York area and the bottom line is this. When the Mets enjoyed a large lead all of last year, all the Mets fans did was come down on Jimmy Rollins for making his prediction that the Phillies would win the NL East and that they were the team to beat. So what did Rollins do, he put the Phillies on his back and the team went on a ridiculous run to win the East (and also won the MVP for this) So my question is -- Where is the heat for Beltran? He is the highest paid player on the team and yet you never ever hear from him. Laughable. Am I Wrong?? Carlos where are you????

Detroit Is Hockeytown

Why is Detroit called "HOCKEYTOWN USA". I realize that Detroit is part of the "Original Six" , and that they have won the Stanley Cup 10 times (3rd most behind the Montreal Canadiens 24 and Toronto Maple Leafs 13 times) which is the most by an USA team. The fact of the matter is they can't even sell out there arena. And I do not want to hear that the economy is poor because it is poor everywhere. There are a few other cities (aside from any city or team from Canada because they have the best fans) that get my vote. If we are talking USA the first city is Saint Paul, home of the Minnesota Wild, they had a streak of like 300+ consecutive sellouts. My second choice would be Buffalo, any fanbase that would sit in sub degree temperature for an outdoor hockey game has to get the nod. I mean the game sold out in 40 minutes. Detroit is no longer Hockeytown call it "Octopus Town" or "We Can't Sell Out Our Arena Town" , but please dont call it Hockeytown USA. Am I Wrong??

Brian Cashman Is A Great General Manager......

This is one of the best arguments that I constantly have. Today is May 26th, 2008. The New York Yankees are currently 25-25 (last place in the American League East) . Coming into this year the Yankees payroll was a robust $209,081,579 (which is obviously the number one payroll in baseball). The next closest team is $138,685,197 (the Tigers another horrendous team for the money) . The bottom line is this, how in the world can a team spend 70.4 million more dollars than the next closest team in all of baseball and the man spending the money Brian Cashman, always be considered one of the top ten General Mangers in Major League Baseball. They don't even have a left handed pitcher in their bullpen. I know, I know your going to say they have made the playoffs for umpteen years in a row, but my argument to that is if I gave any Yankee fan $209 million plus to run a baseball team and I told him that they could spend $70 million plus more than the next team, I am pretty sure they would make the playoffs too. Brian Cashman your horrendous....... AM I WRONG?
